Natasha Foucault
Russian-born artist and teacher Natasha Foucault received her fine art training at
the Moscow Art Academy. She has worked exclusively in the medium of
painting on silk for over twenty five years.
Natasha is a virtuoso in using the flowing luminescence of silk
to depict the play of light and reflections. Natasha has won several awards for
her work, including The Best of Show Awards at both the 2004 and 2006 Silk-In-Santa Fe Festivals, and
second place at the First International Silk Painting Congress in 1998 for
Excellence in Silk Painting.
Her passion to communicate her love of life has
led Natasha to extensive artistic journeys through the loveliest cities of
Europe and Russia, like Leningrad, Riga, Paris, Venice, Genoa, and Avignon.
Natasha paints and writes in her rooftop studio, and her silk paintings and wearables are sold in galleries around the world.
