Esael Araujo Funes was born in El Salvador, where from early youth he discovered his passion for painting and the arts.

Esael describes his work as magical realism.  His work is on display at the United Nations as a prime example of the art of El Salvador.

Esael currently resides in Europe and considers himself a citizen of the world.
